In typical me fashion I am picking up my knitting needles this winter and it made me want to sneak a peek at my blog. While my Christmas knitting list is basically non existent this year due to a severe pinky injury. I have finally gotten the go ahead from my Dr to start using my left hand.
Today I posted this pic.
The hat on the right is the first hat I ever knitted that had a fair isle pattern and it was for my oldest son. Of course he outgrew it and I knitted him the one on the left and now his little brother had inherited the first one. I love fair isle knitting because It turns out so nice! I recently purchased a book of Scandinavian fair isle patterns and have yet to brave any of them. Mainly because of the ridiculously small size needles they ask for. And although I really want to try one of those patterns I think I have picked out a new hat to knit for myself. A simple cables and lace pattern but it'll be the first time I've knitted a hat for me. That reminds me I didn't do a blog post about the bike beanies I knitted for my hubby to wear under his bike helmet! Well I guess I'll have some catching up to do. We have a major wind storm headed our way tomorrow and I have the day off. I am doing a quick run to the grocery store in the morning then I am going to plant my butt firmly on the couch and get to knitting my hat.
